Workshop Descriptions
*Ozanam Orientation and The Home Visit are required for all Vincentians within one year of joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Ozanam Orientation (9:00 am- 12:00 pm)
Whether you’ve been a Vincentian for two days or two decades, Ozanam Orientation offers you an opportunity to be inspired, informed, refreshed and renewed in what it means to be a member of The Society and how that membership is to be lived in the Conference and everyday life.
The Home Visit (12:30 pm - 3:00 pm)
The Home Visit is a very important part of SVdP’s work with its clients. There are specific procedures and guidelines to adhere to as a Home Visitor. In this class, Vincentians will become familiar with the proper way to conduct a Home Visit, from safety protocol to documentation. This part of the day will include an open discussion about home visits.
